Stunning in every detail, we shared a dinner for 2 here after previously getting takeaway a few weeks ago. There's a few comments about "authentic Thai food" here, but I wouldn't know authentic Thai if if hit me in the face. What I do know is that the food here is divine. Rich, deep flavours, beautiful presentation, and the most succulent meats make the desire to soak up every last drop of sauce from every bowl irresistible. The service is attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere is warm and pleasant, and the background energy of 7 cooks simultaneously working the visible kitchen is cool. I'd avoided this place for ages as I'd variously heard it was vegan or vegetarian only - if it ever was, it's not now (thought both those categories are definitely catered for). Very highly recommended. But do book ahead; we went on an otherwise unremarkable Wednesday night, and it's not just a booking, it's booking in shifts, with 6pm and 7.30pm sittings offered.

This was our first time and it was for our anniversary. The staff had made a little note with anniversary wishes and some chocolates, this little gesture made my wife and I really appreciated. The food Fantastic and really good. It was presented with a smile and tasted fantastic. Crispy tamarind prawns tasted amazing and satay chicken was good. Thai fried rice for our son was nice and tasty, crisp barramundi and chill jam stir fry does not fail to impress. Tried many Thai restaurants over the years and hands down Holy Basil has been the best. Recommend this place for any occasion.

A perfect evening. I have been longing to come here for ages, slow because it was initially vegetarian and I wasn't in a rush, but now they have a full range including meats. I tasted similar flavours from the masterful hands of Duncan many years ago in Warrandyte.. it's been a while between drinks. My taste buds have been in hibernation. Tonight they came to life. Crunchy tamarind prawns, corn fritters, coconut rice, massaman lamb curry, Pad Thai, lime creme brulee... Every taste bud was singing. An outstanding meal. Best Thai ever. Well done Holy Basil team.

I absolutely love this place and have visited multiple times, ordering a variety of dishes for both dine-in and take-away. The quality of the food and the overall experience have consistently impressed me. We’ve tried several items on the menu, including chicken pad thai, pineapple fried rice, coconut rice, green curry, red curry, Penang beef curry, chargrilled calamari, and masaman curry. Every dish has been delicious, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. My favorite dishes are the chicken pad thai, pineapple fried rice, and red curry with duck. The staff here are exceptionally friendly and professional, always ensuring that the dining experience is enjoyable. Whether we’re dining in or picking up a takeaway order, the service is prompt and efficient. I especially appreciate how quickly they prepare takeaway orders (15 minutes) without compromising on quality. The environment of the restaurant is another highlight. It’s a cozy, welcoming space. The tables are spacious, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal with family or friends. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Thai and flavorful dishes. However, be sure to book in advance, as they are always busy and reservations fill up quickly. This restaurant has definitely become one of our favorite spots, and we look forward to returning many more times.

Well, the food was amazing once again. I had the Garlic Pepper Soft-Shell Crab, and it was outstanding — every bite was real crab, not just batter. The Crisp Rice Ball Salad was a huge surprise. Incredible flavour and crunch. It’s a brilliant vegan/vegetarian option, and I say that as someone who loves meat — I’ll definitely be ordering it again. These two entrées were absolute winners. For the main, I had the Chilli Basil Stir-Fry. The flavours were spot on, absolutely delicious. The only downside was the chicken being a little on the dry side, but still edible. Next time I’d probably go for the seafood or beef version — I’ve had the beef before and it was beautiful. The coconut rice was nice but didn’t have much coconut flavour.., all though. It it was only some parts top and bottom so it looks like they put a coconut milk or cream on top. It would be great if the meals weren’t rushed. Both entrées came out instantly, and my main arrived while I was still chewing. I had to let the food sit because there was no break between dishes. As for the cocktail, I had a Piña Colada — just needs a better balance between the coconut cream and pineapple juice. Regarding the price: My subtotal came to $108.50, plus an $8.68 surcharge — an 8% weekend surcharge and a card fee. Even though I paid from my savings account, which normally has low fees, there was still a 1.6% card charge, bringing the total to $119.05 for one person. Also one thing I don’t like is is this tip thing that you have to push now or yes it makes you feel like a bit obligated It’s worth being aware of the extra fees, especially if you’re dining on a weekend. If you want to save a bit, visiting on a weekday might be better. In my own restaurants, we don’t charge surcharges, so it’s something I notice. Overall, still a fantastic meal and I’ll definitely be back. As for the noise, it’s a restaurant if you want a quiet place then stay home and order in

It's a wonderful Thai fusion restaurant offering excellent service and delicious food. The photo shows a pork belly dish; I'm not certain if it's entirely traditional Thai cuisine, but I hope that doesn't matter. It is rather pricey.

My daughter took me there for Mother's day dinner, the food was amazing, we have really enjoyed it, many vegan options available, the service was good but the venue was very noisy, I couldn't hear anything at the table.
